Dj Shadow Endtroducing – 25 Hip Hop Mo Wax Island lp vinyl turtle records record brussels belgium

A seminal, incredibly influential hip hop release (also regarded as pretty much the last word in instrumental ‘trip hop’, a term used a lot at the time), Endtroducing is simply one of the defining albums of the 90s. It is famously also the first record ever made entirely from samples of other people’s records – with a particularly broad array of sources used, many mined from the catacomb-like basement under the artist’s favourite record store in Sacramento, which has long since closed its doors. This is the store pictured by photographer B+ on the album cover and in many other shots included in the package. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the album UMC are proud to present this Abbey Road Half Speed Mastered edition. ‘Half-Speed Mastering’ is an elaborate process whereby the source is played back at half its’ normal speed and the turntable on the disc cutting lathe is running at 16 2/3 R.P.M. Because both the source and the cut were running at half their “normal” speeds everything plays back at the right speed when the record is played at home, We will also be offering an exclusive 7” featuring simply one the greatest remixes of the era, Cut Chemist’s remix of The Number Song on side A, Side B features a new track, exclusive to this release Endtroducing: Drums, Drops & Scratches created by DJ Shadow to celebrate the anniversary.

In Islamic psychology, each person has an aspect of the Self called the “Nafs” which is divided into multiple layers. Every day, a person enters into a spiritual battlefield with their dark side, their lowly desires, and Satan. Satanic Nafs is thus the lowest level of the self, due the love of oneself and evil desires.Achieving spiritual transformation involves a constant struggle against the lower nature of the self (Satanic Nafs). This struggle led JAUBI to discover the concept of “Nafs”.The spiritual journey began when London flautist/saxophonist Tenderlonious and Polish Pianist Marek Latarnik Pędziwiatr (EABS/Błoto), both amongst the torchbearers of the new European Jazz scene, visited JAUBI in Lahore, Pakistan during April 2019. The recording sessions served as a spiritual path.‘Satanic Nafs’ serves as a teaser for Jaubi’s debut album entitled ‘Nafs At Peace’ which itself is a musical exploration of Spiritual/Modal Jazz, North Indian Classical Music and Hip-Hop.The Nafs journey is strengthened with remix on B side done by Los Angeles legends The Gaslamp Killer and Mophono. Single artwork was designed by Australian artist A.Kid, also known for his work with Brownswood Recordings.creditsreleased March 26, 2021A SideWritten by Ali Riaz Baqar (A.Baqar)Zohaib Hassan Khan - SarangiKashif Ali Dhani - Tabla, VocalsTenderlonious - FluteLatarnik - Moog VoyagerRecorded by André Viervoll at Newtone StudiosMix: Rhys DowningB SideWritten by Ali Riaz Baqar, The Gaslamp Killer & Mophono (A.Baqar, W.
